Bleu Sera with Beige Connolly Leather
Sharing many features with Ferraris highly-regarded 330 GTC two-seat road car of the same era, the four-seat 330 GT is a practical exotic ideal for daily or weekend use on family outings. Generally considered to have been available in two series, this car is one of only a few interim cars featuring the mechanical updates (most notably a 5-speed gearbox) of the series II cars with the appearance of the series I cars. This car also has the suspended (rather than floor-hinged) pedals and electric windows of the later cars.
The matching-numbers 330 GT 2+2 presented here was built in 1965 and is one of only 125 \”Interim\” cars built with the desirable five-speed transmission. These were produced after 500 cars had been made with the earlier four-speed with overdrive transmission. It also sports the optional Borrani wire wheels. It was purchased new by Mr. Eisenschmidt in Lausanne, Switzerland, finished in Bleu Sera with a Beige Connolly leather interior. A previous owner brought the car out of long-term storage, acquiring it from a gentleman in Delaware who owned the car for 30 years.
