In contrast to the MGs, Austin Healeys, and Alpine Tigers of the day, the Sunbeam Tiger was built on one simple theorem: small car, big motor. Fitted with a 260c.i. Ford V8 and power fed through the well tested T-10, four speed transmission, these cars are hard to beat in a straight line. This is a legitimate Tiger, and is not a converted Alpine.

This car is best described at a nice driver. The car has been repainted what appears to be its original color. While the repaint is of high quality, there are small scratches, and light marks associated with normal use. All the chrome pieces are present, and appear to be original with some hazing and light weather marks. The headlights, indicator, and tail light lenses are all in excellent condition. There is no evidence or rust, rust repair, or damage repair visible anywhere on the car. Mild flairs have been added to accommodate slightly larger tires. The front has been lowered to improve handling, giving it a tasteful aggressive look.

The interior is in very nice condition. The carpets, hard top headliner, and upholstery are all presentable and look to be well treated. The water temperature gauge and tachometer have both been replaced with Autometer units. The Dash wood is excellent. Roll bar attachment points are hiding behind the front seats, barely visible.

Fantasy Junction sold this car to the current owner around 1998. Since then, both the bottom end of the engine and transmission have been rebuilt, and the car repainted. This power plant has been assembled with a slightly more aggressive cam than delivered with stock.

With the car comes the rare and desirable hard top, a three point roll bar to make it SVRA legal for historic racing, extra Autometer oil pressure and temperature gauges, and an extra oil pan. This car has run two SVRA race events in previous years.
