Fascinating early Alfa Romeo 6C updated with Chevrolet V-8 power. Originally owned by Academy Award winning director, screenwriter, and producer Howard Hawks who gave the world Scarface, Bringing Up Baby, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Red River, The Big Sleep, and El Dorado, among many others. Many wonderful artistic details typical of early Alfas. Sound and sturdy body and chassis. Largely original in exterior and interior appearance. Original front and rear suspension, steering box, and much of the braking system. Chevrolet 327c.i. power fed through an automatic transmission and updated driveshaft to original Alfa differential. Running and driving, though some sorting will be necessary. Original engine, transmission, and radiator not included. A wonderful project for restoration to original, as an event car for four, or simply to keep as part of a diversified Italian car collection.
