Description

1955 Chrysler 300 Coupe s/n 3N552006 Red with Original Tan seats Featuring the famous \"HEMI\" motor, the 300C was regarded as one of the fastest four-seater production cars back in 1955. It was powered by the the outstanding 300hp 331ci V-8 with twin carburetors and dual exhaust. This two owner vehicle has been in California its entire life and retains a \"Black Plate\" California license plate. The second owner, a well respected car collector, purchased this car from the original owner about six years ago. This car was repainted around 10-15 years ago in its original red. Showing only a small dent in the roof, the body is nice and straight. The exterior chrome and aluminum trim is in excellent condition all around, showing no pitting or fading. The panel fit around the car is good with no significant gaps. The lenses and headlights are free of cracks. The front seat was re-done by Chrysler guru Mr. T. Goers and looks really nice. The rear bench is original and has held up, but shows a wear being that the car is 50+ years old. This car is equipped with lap belts for the driver and passenger and the carpets have held up really nicely with no rips or signs of it coming unglued. The black dash is in excellent condition, having no rips, tears or sun bleaching. The headliner is also in great shape and has not faded or ripped. The electric windows still work with no signs of slowing down. There is the original owners and service manual that is in nice condition. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly with no problems and has the shifter on the dash as opposed to the steering column. There were 2 available radios for the Chrysler 300`s in 1955, the model 835 and the model 902. The main difference was you could do a \"Town\" or a \"Country\" search option with the model 902 and the 902 had 8 tubes. The model 835, which is what this particular vehicle has, consists of 7 tubes and 5 preset push buttons. A recent participant in the 2005 California Mille historical event, this car is ready to be driven and is a wonderful opportunity to acquire one of the most notable classic cars of the 1950's era.
