As delivered new in Thunderbird blue (Turquoise) with Turquoise and White interior From the Trim plate: Body: 40A, Color: T, Trim: C21, Production code: DKL89 Fitted with the correct 292 c.i. motor and highly desirable and rare three speed manual transmission with overdrive, four-way electrically adjustable seats, electric windows, and power brakes. Both the original turquoise hard top and white soft top are with the car. In the early 1970s, though in fine shape, the owner decided to restore the car using as many as of the original parts as possible. Following this restoration the car won several concourses before being shipped to the UK in the late 1980s where the car received significant media exposure in the films Boon and Tomorrow`s World, as well as on the cover of the Thunderbird parts Catalog. Currently the car shows 3,228 miles, perhaps reflecting the miles since its restoration. This is best described as an older restoration of a rust-free, extremely honest and original car. Sitting on period correct B.F Goodrich whitewall tires with matching spare and jack, this is truly a correct example of an America icon.
