1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Colli TI Wagon s/n AR468282 Dark Green with Tobacco interior Bodied by Carrozzeria Colli this Giulia Colli TI Wagon is a factory prototype of only 11 built in this configuration. Fitted with a five speed transmission, Alfa`s traditional 1600cc DOHC, 4 cylinder engine, and tastefully converted to twin Weber carburetors, this wagon should be every bit as fast as a GTV of the same year. Currently the odometer shows 40,400 kilometers. This particular example was restored Steve Griswold & Co. in Berkeley, CA. Mechanically the car is tight and robust reflecting the kilometers traveled. The steering box, second gear syncro, and front suspension are all in excellent condition. The doors all shut crisply and tightly. The hood, truck, and door gaps are straight and even and there are no signs of rust or accident repair. The underside, while unrestored, is free of damage or any significant rust. The engine compartment is original, unrestored, and nicely detailed. A recent compression check yielded an outstanding 160 PSI for all cylinders. The interior is in impeccable condition throughout. The seats, headliner, door skins, dash front and top, carpets, rear mat, and window glass are all like new and perfect. All the interior chrome is free of deterioration and in very good condition. The dash face has been updated to a 1969 style unit. Both dome lights work, as do all the gauges. The exterior is in equally good condition. The car has seen a recent, reasonably high quality repaint, and is free of any major chips or scratches. All the stainless and chrome trim is free of pitting and in very good condition. All the lenses are clear and bright, confirming that the car has always been stored inside. Fit for show or enjoyment on classic car tour and events, this Alfa will make for a nice diversification to anyone`s collection. This is a car with character!
