Description

1966 Morgan Plus 4 Roadster s/n 6483 British Racing Green with Tan Leather Interior Morgans have always had a diehard following. With a simplistic and well tested design, impressive performance, attractive lines, and a palatable price tag, these are truly efficient motor cars. This example was comprehensively restored in Santa Cruz, California. Fantasy Junction sold this car to the current owner in 2005. The previous owner bought it from Morgans West in 2002, already fully restored, and had put just 1,500 miles on it. The odometer currently shows 2,711, which is believed to have rolled over once. The restoration included completely reupholstering the interior (including top cover) with beautiful tan leather, and new brown carpets. The dash wood and gauges were both completely refinished and are like new. The seat frames were restored as was the top frame. The top was fitted with new black canvas. The interior chrome, aluminum and stainless was all either refinished or replaced. The car has seen a very high quality repaint and has minimal evidence of use since. The exterior chrome and stainless has all been restored and five new chrome wires wheel fitted with five near-new Hankook tires. Both the motor and the gearbox have been rebuilt. The motor pulls and sounds strong. The gearbox shifts smoothly and accurately and there is nothing to suggest the synchros are even the slightest bit worn. There are no records with the car supporting the work, but we welcome the most stringent mechanical inspections. The underside is damage and rust free. All the floor boards have been replaced along with the shock absorbers and exhaust system, and battery. The car feels rigid and road worthy for many miles to come. The engine compartment has been detailed and repainted while the motor was out, and is presentable such that the car could be shown with pride. With the car is the jack and hammer, flair bag and flairs, and tool roll with a full set of correct tools, and all four removable side windows. The Cars of Particular Interest value guide book shows $39,000 for excellent examples. Other dealers are advertising similar cars for $42,000. We are confident you will not find a better example, at any price
