Sharing many features with Ferraris enormously well regarded 330 GTC two-seat road car of the same era, the four-seat 330 GT is a practical exotic ideal for daily or weekend use on family outings. A very late production series II example, this attractive car was equipped with a five speed transmission, desirable hanging pedals, power windows, and air conditioning. It is a matching numbers car with outstanding body and chassis integrity, having remained in the dry climates of Utah and California throughout much of its life.

The car is best described as a driver in terms of the cosmetic presentation. The paint has been recently redone, but perhaps not to the standards which show cars are often treated to today. The body is exceptionally straight and solid. The brightwork was selectively redone, and the car sits on newly polished wheels. The window glass and lenses are in good order throughout.

The interior has a lovely patina, with nice leather seats, door panels, and console. The carpets are average, but have been redone. The dash wood, dash pad, gauges, and switchgear are all in good condition. While complete with the air cleaner housing, and correct yellow fuel lines the engine bay and trunk are both typical of a driver quality car, as is the underside.

The car runs well with good oil pressure, good brakes, gearbox, and suspension. Very recently, the 5-speed transmission has been rebuilt with new synchro rings. Prior to that, the engine and brakes were overhauled by British and European Car Service, Salt Lake Utah in September of 2000, which totaled $26,132. Invoices for other work on file includes a front end suspension service, distributor tune, and paint. Interestingly, 1981 sales paperwork from Fantasy Junction is also included, along with several old registration and ownership documents. It appears that the car was brought into the United States from Italy in 1969, and there are invoices going back to January of 1970 from Crepaldi, the Ferrari dealer in Milan to the first US owner, Darrell G. Meyer in Anaheim, California. The previous Italian owner was Mr. Mario Pomare in Palermo, Sicily, a renowned artist. In total, the records accompanying the car stand 2” think.

Included with the car is a 330 maintenance manual, an FAF parts book, a 330GT parts book, a jack bag with jack, and a partially complete tool roll. As a very late production 330 GT, this example has many of the desirable accessories fitted. As a rust free, matching numbers car with a rebuilt engine and transmission, this example is deserving of the final cosmetic sorting necessary to make it into a beautiful and extremely usable exotic 12 cylinder road car.
