Description

1969 Ferrari 365GTC s/n 12367 Rosso Corsa/Black Leather Widely regarded to be one of the best driving and most usable classic Ferraris, the 330GTC is highly sought after today. The 365GTC is nearly identical, but with its larger 4.4 litre motor and with just a quarter as many produced, they are exceptionally desirable. This particular car is in nice cosmetic condition and has been well maintained, so it is in especially good working order. Significant work in the last ten years includes a new exhaust system, new clutch (2005), and carburetor rebuilds. The exterior is generally presentable with an older, reasonably good quality repaint. There are some minor chips to the nose from use, and some cracking near the antenna, but the paint is otherwise free from significant blemishes. The Borrani wire wheels are in excellent shape, and the all other brightwork is generally very good. There is one place on the right rear bumper where the finish is deteriorating, but the remainder presents very nicely. The glass is all very good to excellent, with the exception of one headlight, which has a hole from a rock. The interior is in nice honest condition. The leather shows minimal wear, with no cracking, creasing, or holes. The dashboard is in fine shape, and the clock works. The headliner and carpets are both excellent, as is the fit of the console. An upgraded stereo has been fitted, which includes an Alpine CD player and Infinity components. The windows work well, as does the air conditioning, and the correct original steering wheel is included, although not fitted at present. The motor is clean and fairly well detailed. It presents well, with only very minor wear to some of the painted components. The trunk is clean and reveals a set of like new reproduction tools, tool roll, books, and leather manual pouch, all of which are dazzling. Also with the car is the spare wheel (an alloy Campagnolo) with tire. The underside is tidy and solid, but not detailed. This car is an exceptionally nice example to drive. The transaxle is superb, including excellent 2nd gear synchro, and the motor performs very well. It makes excellent linear power and sounds like only an Italian V-12 can. The brakes stop the car evenly and effectively, and the balance and tactility that come with a front-engined Ferrari are marvelously exemplified by this car. This particular car embodies what makes Ferraris so unique and sought-after. The driving experience is genuinely enjoyable, and this car is the perfect condition to enjoy. It is beautiful to behold, yet not too nice to drive as frequently and extensively as you like.
