Silver with Black Interior
Introduced in 1961, the W111 and W112 generation of Mercedes-Benz S-Class replaced the famed `Adenauer` cars and was the absolute top of the line car. They incorporated a number of advanced technical and convenience features including sophisticated independent suspension all around, fuel injection, and disc brakes. In pillarless coupe form they are particularly elegant, and this example’s appeal is further enhanced by the fitment air conditioning and a sunroof. Initially powered by six cylinder engines, the last and most desirable cars were fitted with relatively high compression overhead cam 3.5 liter V8`s improved performance.
This particular car has been with the current owner since 2005 and features a console automatic transmission rebuilt by Peter Schmitt, Factory Behr air conditioning, power windows, 300 trim, and original interior.
This is a fine opportunity to acquire a straight solid largely unrestored example of this elegant and beautifully engineered car. This is an unmolested, basically rust free, example with functioning Behr air conditioning which is sure to enhance the car’s usability and cruising enjoyment for the new owner.
