When introduced, the 365 GTC/4 was Ferrari`s absolute top of the line executive model. With a comfortable, relaxed seating position, functional air conditioning, and power steering, the 365 GTC/4 achieves a pleasant balance between a thoroughbred sports car and a luxury grand touring car, and is considerably less exhausting to drive than the 365 GTB/4 `Daytona` produced during the same period. Its price reflected that too, with a higher sticker price than the Daytona coupe. The 365 GTC/4 is by far the most sought after of the luxury touring models of the era, and has enjoyed considerable appreciation in recent years.
This particular car is a wonderful example that has (June-July 2008) seen a very comprehensive carbs-off 30k major service at Rod Drew`s Francorchamps America Incorporated (FAI) in Southern California. The total cost was $20,078.34. The cams were degree'd, the valves set, the chain adjusted, and all six Weber carbs rebuilt. Both distributors were rebuilt, the belts, spark plugs and battery replaced, and new hood shocks fitted. New rear self-leveling Koni shocks were installed, and the radiator recored as well. The cam covers and air cleaners were stripped and re-wrinkle-finished, and the engine compartment fully detailed. The paint was color sanded and buffed, and the front seats reupholstered with new high quality leather.
The car enjoys very-well documented history, and has covered just 25,000 miles from new. The car has known history from new, with records back to the 1980`s. Its history is as follows:

The car sat for several more years until its recently completed comprehensive service, ensuring that the car is now a low mileage ready-to-enjoy example. The paint was also color sanded and is presently excellent, and the overall cosmetic condition is excellent as well. The paint was applied to high standards and has only a handful of small blemishes. None of them is significant enough to detract from the overall impression made by the car, and its excellent gaps and panel fit also contribute to its strong visual presence. The trim and metal work are in fine shape as well, and glass is very fine throughout. The wheels and tires are in excellent shape, with the fitment of the more attractive European type eared spinners.
The interior is also extremely nice. The new leather on the front seats is of course excellent, and the remaining upholstery is original but very well preserved. The correct mouse fur dashboard is in excellent original condition, as are the carpets, and the overall feel is that of a well cared for low mileage car that was carefully stored and used sparingly.
The trunk is also original, and still very presentable. The carpet is fraying near a couple of edges, but is on the whole very good, being nowhere near needing replacement. The tool suitcase with tools is present with the car, as is the correct spare wheel. The engine compartment was recently detailed and is superb. There are a handful of components that were not refinished, but the overall impression is great.
This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a 25,000 mile C4. With its power steering and superior visibility, many owners prefer to drive C4`s to Daytonas, while the side draft carburetors provide a unique sound that many argue is one of the all time great Ferrari street car exhaust notes. Available at less than half the price, the C4 is certainly more than half the car that the Daytona is, and this particular example, with its excellent cosmetics and recent comprehensive mechanical going over, is a great find that is ready to enjoy with great peace of mind.
