As the last of the classic front-engined V12 flagship Ferraris, the 365GTB/4 “Daytona” needs little introduction. Despite retaining the traditional front-engined layout of previous Ferrari’s, the Daytona’s creased styling was decidedly modern, and the specification was very much up to date as well. Its 4.4 liter quad cam V12 produced over 350hp, and was joined to a rear-mounted 5-speed transaxle for optimum weight distribution. The suspension was independent all around, and there were disc brakes at all four corners as well. The car was extremely fast as well, with a genuine 174mph top speed as confirmed by contemporary testers. Despite less than universal praise for the styling when it first appeared, its near perfect proportions have made widely considered to be one of the greatest classic Ferraris of all time. It captures the essence of the classic Ferrari experience while also supplying performance that is exciting even by today’s standards. Indeed, Ferrari’s 1997 return to this layout with the 550 Maranello has proven that the front-engined V12 layout is a timeless concept that still competes with the most exotic mid-engined cars. Just 1284 Daytonas were built before the car was replaced with a new mid-engined car, the Berlinetta Boxer.

Offered in 1979 in the LA Times 213 9244495 in april1979 with 1225 documented miles.

Offered in 1980 by Frank Gallogly, Kinnelon NJ Red -orange with black interior with 1260 documented miles (NY Times Jan 1980).

Offered 1988 by Homa Weerasuria,Texas. Orange with black interior. Acquired car 8 years ago and only put 4300 miles on it. All original paint except trunk lid. Borrani wire wheels 8\"front and 9\" rear. 5535 miles offered in Ferrari Market Letter # 1303.

Purchased by Jerry J Moore somewhere in the 1990's and kept in his collection for many years.

Serviced by Ferrari of Houston 5/2112002 for Andrew Scherfenberg at 6831 miles on odometer.

Offered for sale by Dieter Scherfenberg son in 2003 (Elite Motorsports, Austin Texas) with 6878 miles and sold to Zig Zag Studios (Stan Zagorski) on 717105 with 6880 miles.

On 1123/07 car was repainted by Continental Autobody (Wayne Carini) color change from Rosso Dino to Fly Yellow.

Offered for sale by Wayne Carini in 2009 with 7005 miles.

Purchased by the current owner in August 2010 with 7009 miles.

Presently the car has 7,111 miles.

Offered with a complete and correct tool and jack bag, and a book set with leather pouch, and matching Borrani wire wheel spare wheel with an original Michelin XWX tire. An exceedingly rare find, this single digit mileage Daytona, in irreproachable condition, will surely catch the eye of the discerning Ferrari enthusiast.
