1974 Ferrari 264 GTS Dino Fly Yellow with Black Leather Ready for paint and assembly s/n 8030 Sold new in the US to John Fergus of Ohio, this is a 10,900 mile, two owner car. This chassis was original delivered in fly yellow with black interior, with A/C, Daytona seats, and power windows. The Fergus family used the car very little as they had a large collection of Ferraris on hand to choose from. In 1997 the car was sold to Thomas Rootliep with just 8,100 correct and undisputable miles, and original everything. Mr. Rootliep showed the car in 1998 at the Concourso Italiano in Monterey where he scored 85.5 points. Following this, he decided to strip the car to bare metal and begin a platinum level restoration. All the work done so far is absolutely top flight and by the very best in the business. The car is well on its way to become the 100 point show car it is intended to be. All the interior trim and panels are present. The passengers and drivers door panels are original and perfect. The frontal plastic shrouding, interior trunk plastic, inner fender wells, interior leather trim, and battery covers and hold down are all original and perfect. The windshield, side and wing windows, and rear window, frame and gasket are all original and perfect. The wipers are perfect. The door innards, aerial, spare tire hold down and water bag are all original and perfect. All the hardware which has been removed is boxed, labeled, and in excellent condition. The top is original and in perfect condition inside and out. Both the top cover for when inside the car and the storage cover come with the car and are perfect. The original headlights (also comes with NOS Corrello headlights) are perfect, as are the tail and marker lights. There are also NOS marker light frames. The fuel tanks, A/C condenser and pump are all original and perfect. The interior and trunk carpets are original and in reasonably good condition. Likewise, all the gasketing, trunk and engine latches, original headers (also comes with NOS set of headers), and stainless interior trim are also in good original condition. The air cleaner and air filter housing, water system equipment, motor mounts, axle bolts, A/C system equipment are all in good original condition. The previous owner had the seats reupholstered by Niminck in correct Connolly leather; the interior is otherwise all original. The radiator was cleaned and needs to be painted flat black before being installed. The bumpers have been nickel plated, but need to be chromed. The car has been taken down to bare metal and shot in primer to preserve the metal. It is ready for paint and assembly. As mentioned, the car comes with much NOS equipment; Headers, tags and trim pieces, marker light housings, Corrello Headlights, latch lock bar, clutch cable, mufflers and headers. The previous owner refabricated a new and correct grille mouth, and had head light covers and mounting brackets made. With the car is the absolutely complete and correct book set (radio card, warranty card, service book, etc) with factory supplied cassette, and complete tool set, roll, jack, jack bag and lug wrench, tire chalk, and emergency triangle. The original key fob is with the car. These are all original, and in impeccable condition. The engine and transaxle was sent to Patrick Ottis for compression and leak down checks, inspection, detail and reseal. It is ready to go back into the car. The suspension and brake assembly have been left alone as they have only 10,000 miles. The car currently sits on Campagnola wheels with new XWXs, and a Campy spare. This is a one of a kind work in progress.
