1975 Ferrari 308 GT4 Red with Black Leather Interior s/n 11052 There is perhaps no better example of the defined, angular lines of the 1970s than the Ferrari 308 GT4. Propelled by a transverse mounted, mid-engine V8, feeding power to the rear wheels through the classic, gated 5-speed transaxle, the true Ferrari experience is realized. These cars, more than the later, heavier, and more complex 308 GTB, are a drivers car. This example was owned and driven by Johannes Huywler, principle of Dino Motor in San Mateo, California until 200 miles ago when Fantasy Junction sold the car to its current owner. 5,000 miles ago, Mr. Huywler replaced the timing belts and adjusted the valves. Recently the weather stripping on the doors has been replaced, along with the rear section of the exhaust system. Currently, the car has 99,115 miles. The car drives extremely well, one of the most enjoyable 308s we have seen. Second gear synchro, and the entire transaxle feels perfect, the motor is tight and responsive, and the suspension compliant. With the exception of the A/C, all gauges and switches are fully operational. Cosmetically, the car has seen a recent, high quality respray and the original black leather interior has been re-dyed. The carpets have been replaced with correct Ferrari material. A more modern Momo steering wheel has been fitted, and a detachable faced radio installed. The headliner, console, and dash are all excellent. The original trunk matting is in good condition and the engine compartment nicely detailed. Currently the car sits on three piece BBS wheels with like new Dunlop SP Sport tires. Included in the sale is the factory tool roll with tools. The A/C is included, but not installed. As a 1975, this car is smog exempt in California.
