1979 Ferrari 400GT Convertible s/n F101CL25785 Red with Tan Interior This is one of a handful of 400's that was converted to a convertible. This particular car is in excellent cosmetic condition and has lots of visual presence. It would make a fine summer cruiser with its reasonably sized back seats and automatic transmission. Cosmetically, it is extremely nice. The paint is very high quality and shows no noticeable imperfections, and the glass is also very nice. The metal trim is free from major damage and wear, and the car is free of rust. The wheels are modular and wear recent Michelin low profile tires. The convertible top is good quality canvas in excellent condition, and the conversion appears to have been well done. The interior is also excellent. All leather, including that on the seats, dashboard, door panels etc. is very good, and the wood trim on the dashboard is free from cracking or peeling. An aftermarket stereo with two trunk-mounted subwoofers in a custom box is fitted, in addition to a 6-disc CD changer. The trunk is otherwise stock and in great shape. The engine compartment is fairly clean and the air cleaner boxes have been painted to match the exterior of the car. The car has also been fitted with new high quality stainless steel rear mufflers that retain the look and exhaust tips of the correct ANSA unit, and the compression is even across the board at 175 lbs. Since the car lacks smog equipment, it cannot be registered in California.
