1981 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top s/n 1G1AY8764BS420016 Silver with Black Interior This totally stock, immaculate, multi-time show wining T-Top Corvette represents excellent value in the muscle car world as prices for earlier Corvettes continue to soar out of reach. Sold new in California this example has been with the second owner for some 22 years. A well option car, this car was built with power windows, power steering, power locks, telescoping/tilt steering wheel, California 4-speed manual transmission, removable blue mirror tops, alloy wheels, and finished in its current silver with black color combination. It is a matching numbers example, and is unmodified. This Corvette has been regularly shown at Western States Corvette Council shows where it won the 1978-82 Stock class eight years running between 1995 and 2002, typically scoring 99+ points. Cosmetically, this is as nice an example as you could possible hope for. Aside from a handful of rock chips on the frontal facing areas, and one hairline scratch on the left front corner, the car is completely free of any significant flaws. There is no evidence of any paint or bodywork anywhere about the car. Like the exterior, the interior is also immaculate with no major flaws on any kind. The engine bay has been detailed for show, and makes and excellent impression. While the underside is not detailed to eat off of, it is mechanically tidy and confirms this is a very low mileage car. The car has the tight feel you would expect of a low mile car. The engine starts easily and pulls strong with no smoke. The clutch disengages with the correct travel and the transmission is smooth with excellent syncros. It has the feel of a 25 year old new car. . With the car come the original manual, vinyl covers for the T-Tops, all the judging sheets from the WSCC shows, and what records exist for the current ownership period.
