One of the last Ferraris engineered and launched during Enzo Ferrari's lifetime, the 328 succeeded the highly popular 308 four-cam by offering an increased displacement V-8 and a myriad of detail changes throughout. The mid-engined 328, offered in both hardtop (GTB) and Targa/Spider (GTS) forms, featured an upgraded 3.2-liter V-8 putting out 270 horsepower, thanks to a sophisticated Marelli electronic ignition system and the retained Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. Capable of a 0–60 sprint of 5.9 seconds, the 328 GTS had a top speed of 163 mph. Assembled in Maranello until the fall of 1989, the 328 is considered by many to be among the most drivable vintage Ferraris, thanks to its solid performance and general reliability. It is most coveted by collectors because of its ABS brake system, which was not offered on prior years.

This particular car was sold new in San Antonio, Texas, but has spent a majority of its life in the Silicon Valley area. It was purchased by the current owner in 2011 and has covered only a couple hundred miles since, now showing just over 29,000 total miles. Prior to his purchase, the car was subject to a major service performed in May of 2010 by Gran Prix Motors in Campbell, California at a cost of over $8,200. Receipts are on file to confirm this work.

Cosmetically, the car makes a great impression, and would be suitable for concours showing. The panels are straight throughout, and the paintwork is in excellent shape. The wheels are very nice throughout. The glass and lamps are in excellent shape. New Bridgestone Potenza tires were fitted in 2011.

The interior is in beautiful condition. The gauges and switches have a fresh appearance, and the black removable hardtop is in very nice condition. The steering wheel and horn button are fresh and unmarked.

The engine compartment is clean and shows evidence of regular maintenance and is correct in appearance. The trunk is in nice shape and retains the often broken black zip up cover, which is fully functional and in excellent condition. The underside of the car is very presentable and structurally sound throughout.

The car runs and drives well. It starts easily, pulls well, and is competently tuned. The gearbox shifts smoothly, and the brakes are effective, pulling the car up evenly. The car is a pleasure to drive, as a 1989 year model, the final year of production; this example is equipped with ABS.
