This left hand drive Corniche II Convertible was manufactured for the US market and previously sold in Southern California. 1989 is commonly referred to as a golden year by Rolls Royce collectors as `89 models retain the standard non-digital gauges, and it is the last year in which Rolls Royce actually manufactured the power plant.

This car is an absolutely excuse free unit with near-flawless cosmetics and is excellent mechanically. The current owner bought this car in June of 2006 from Rusnak in Pasadena, California. At the time of purchase, the current owner commissioned a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection. He then spent nearly $10,000 correcting the minor flaws noticed in the inspection. Several sensors were replaced, as were the rear brake accumulators, the drive shaft coupling, and the rear shock absorbers. Additionally, the owner carefully sourced a Rolls Royce specific Pioneer in dash NAV unit with Ipod input, which features the Rolls Royce insignia.

The body is straight, with consistent door, hood, and trunk gaps, and a door shut that confirms the 35,000 miles. The color combination is ideal and the paint quality is extremely good. We understand that the front and rear bumpers have been repainted, and that there has been some very minor touch up work to the frontal area of the car. There are a few very minor chips on the trailing edge of the driver`s side door which do not detract from the presence of the automobile. The bumpers, grille, window frame, and headlight surround brightwork is absolutely impeccable.

The interior is beautifully trimmed to match the exterior in soft black leather with grey accents and black carpet with near perfect lamb`s wool covers. The carpets below the lamb`s wool are like new. The front and rear seats are in excellent condition, with just very minor wear to the piping on the driver`s left seat bolster. The stunning dash, door, and rear seat wood is un-marked and is also like new. The dash, door, and console leather are all excellent. This car is fitted with a beautiful black canvas convertible soft top which is in excellent condition and has grey excellent headliner.

Both the trunk and the engine compartment are in near-show condition, and are completely stock.

With the car comes the hard bound owner`s manual, complete Rolls Royce tool kit, several yard of extra Connelly leather, and a substantial collection of records from the current ownership period. With the spring and summer seasons approaching, this will make an exemplary motorcar for Sunny California Cruising. Indeed, few vehicles supply such iconic style and plush comfort as the Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible II.
