1990 Ferrari 348TB VIN:ZFFFG35A9L0086360 Red with Tan Leather The Ferrari 348 represented a huge step forward from the very popular and successful 308/328 platform. Production began in 1989 and ended in 1994, with just under 3,000 348TBs produced in total. Featuring a 3.4litre 300 horsepower V8 and a 5-speed gearbox, the 348 would top out an astonishing 171 mph. One of the more notable features of the 348 was the highly evocative `Testarossa` style air intakes extending along the doors. Sold new in November of 1990 through Ferrari of Beverly Hills, this is a two-owner, single family, California car that has spent much of its life in southern California. With just 14,927 miles, and currently up to date on its major service, it is a low mileage example with no `stories`, which makes it an attractive, yet affordable modern Ferrari. Also of note is that this car is a berlinetta, rather than the more common and less attractive targa type 348ts. When new, the `out the door` price of this car was $91,722! Cosmetically, the car is in very good condition for its age and mileage, both inside and out. No paint work has been done since new. Other than the usual light stone chipping on the front-facing areas and air dam, there are no major paint flaws of any kind. The wheels, window glass, and black trim are all in exceedingly nice, unmarked condition. The interior reflects the very low mileage and it is in extremely good condition. Both seats are like-new, with almost none of the wear on the driver`s seat bolster associated with ingress and egress, which is very common to the 348/355 line. The factory carpets and in mint condition, and have always been covered with overmats which are in equally good condition. The overmats feature cavalini rampanti and are included. The factory headliner shows some sagging, although the material is in excellent condition. The frequently shrunken dashboard leather is in fantastic condition and appears as new. The only noticeable wear is some very slight fading on the drivers and passengers door pulls. The engine bay is correct, original, and completely stock, as is the front compartment. Both are representative of a very well cared for, low mile example. The underside is dry and straight and shows no signs of past repairs. This car comes with books, leather book holder, tools and leather tool case, records for all work done since new, and the purchase order from when the car was sold new. The 30k mile service was performed at Ferrari and Maserati of Orange County in March of 2004, just 3,107 miles ago, at a cost of $6,300. New Bridgestone tires were fitted in May of 2004. The majority of the receipts for work completed are from the Ferrari dealers in Orange County and Beverly Hills. At a fraction of the price of the very similar 355, or heavily deprecating 360, the 348 is the economically feasible modern Ferrari road car whose depreciation has finally stabilized. Moreover, nice examples of the 348, especially the berlinetta, are extremely difficult to find.
