1995 Ferrari 456 GT

Verde Inglese with Tan Leather Interior
When it was introduced, Ferrari’s 456 attracted much positive attention. Since the early 70’s, the company’s 4-place cars were the only front-engined V12 cars, and their appearance was rather conservative and square-rigged. The 456’s dynamic stance and classical proportions caused enthusiasts and critics to make unsolicited comparisons to the legendary front-engined 12-cylinder Ferraris of the 1960’s and 1970’s, and with a 436hp 4-valve V12 and 6-speed gearbox, the 456 provided a level of performance that remains, even today, quite impressive. Indeed, with a top speed near 190mph, the car was the fastest 4-seat production car then available.
This particular car is an extremely nice example that has been well-maintained, as indicated by a thick sheaf of records back to 1998 when the car had 2120 miles. The current owner purchased the car in 2005 with 13,745 miles on it, and has performed nearly $51,000 in maintenance, including new tires, transmission rebuild, steering rack rebuild, major service (including valve adjustment, tensioner bearings, timing belts, accessory belts, gaskets, rebuilt water pump, spark plugs, spark plug wires, all filters, all fluids, front and rear deck lid shocks), rear shock absorbers, and fluid changes and chassis services every year. Additionally, there are invoices from prior to his acquisition of the car. In his care, the car has been in Pebble Beach, and prior to that, it was in Florida.
The car is in very good cosmetic condition. The paint is very nice, though there are a few chips on the front of the car from road use, as well as a few areas where the paint is thin (one on the hood, one on one of the headlight covers, and on the door edges). Beyond that, the paint is excellent, with superb luster in a striking and unusual color. The body is straight throughout, with the exception of a couple door dings (the paint is unharmed), and the wheels are excellent, with no kerb rash. The glass and lights are also excellent. The trim and badges are excellent other than a few cracks on the wheel emblems. The tires have few miles on them and are Michelin Pilot Sports.
The interior is also very nice. The leather is excellent throughout, with just the lightest of wear on the driver’s bolster. Other than that, the leather is excellent, and covers just about every surface, the console, dashboard, parcel shelf, pillars, door panels, visors, and headliner. The carpets are also excellent, as are the switches and instruments. The climate control panel does have some of the waviness that often affects these cars. The dashboard is excellent, with no shrinkage, discoloration, or warping to the leather, and the same applies to the rear parcel shelf other than on the eye level brake light, which has some shrinkage.
The engine compartment and trunk are both extremely tidy and original. The engine is tidy and retains all its correct markings and decals, while the trunk contains its original 10 disc CD changer, as well as custom Ferrari cover.
This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a meticulously maintained 6-speed manual 456 GT in a lovely and rare color. The car is up to date on all services and is complete with Schedoni manual pouch with all manuals, as well as invoices back to when the car was 3 years old. The car also has its fitted Ferrari cover and tools.
