The Ferrari 355 Spider was produced from 1994 through 1999 and replaced the Ferrari 348. The 355 was viewed as an enormous improvement over its predecessor in terms of driving feel, performance, and serviceability. Two versions were available; the Berlinetta and the GTS. Over $135,000 when new, today they represent excellent value in modern Ferraris, and have developed a cult following with diehard Ferrari enthusiasts. As a 1999, which was the last year of production, this 355 incorporates all the minor improvements and updates made during the production run.

This particular example is an exceptionally clean and well cared for one owner car from new in a refreshing color combination. Sold new through Ferrari of San Francisco to the current owner, a Reno, Nevada resident, the 355 offered here is well option with a rear Challenge grille, colored dashboard in dark blue, contrasting stitching in dark blue, colored steering wheel, and leather roof upholstery. It employs the more desirable standard 6-Speed, H-pattern transmission.

Professionally maintained from new by the Ferrari service experts at Intrepid Motorcars in Sparks, Nevada, and always residing in the dry climate of the Western US, this 355 Berlinetta has enjoyed regular service work, and has absolutely no corrosion issues. While the car had a minor service (fluids and filters) in November of 2011, it is due for a major (belt) service based on time. The car runs and drives flawlessly at this time, and is fitted with a Tubi exhaust system from the headers back.

The car is best described as being in exceptional cosmetic condition. The front and rear bumpers have just been painted to alleviate the common parking and rock chips associated with 27,000 miles. No other paint or bodywork is evident. The car sits on beautiful, mark-free one-piece factory wheels. The interior is entirely original. While the dash shows minor shrinkage as is common to all Ferraris of this era, there are no tears in the leather or stitching. The engine bay and frontal storage area are both immaculate, and the underside is in excellent order with all plastic under trays in place. This is certainly one of the cleanest 355s we have had the opportunity to handle.

Included with the sale is the original window sticker, the original sales invoice, and the full book and tool sets. A non-pretentious and refreshing color combination, this ultra late production 355 GTB is well suited for the motoring enthusiast with high cosmetic standards looking for a fabulous, modern, mid-engined Ferrari to fly under the radar with.
