2000 Ferrari 360 Challenge Racecar s/n ZFFYR51B000118818 Dark Metallic Blue with Red Seats Built new in 2000 to compete in the prestigious Shell Ferrari Challenge series this car is equipped with all the correct racing components. As with all the 360 Challenge cars, the suspension and breaking systems have been optimized for track use, digital dash installed with a timing sender, sliding side windows fitted, and OMP driver`s and passenger`s seats fitted with Sabelt five point harnesses for each. An OMP Fire system, Premier quick fill fueling receivers, and front and rear tow hooks. This is one of very few 360 Challenge racecars delivered in metallic blue. It is believed that this car was campaigned in selected Challenge races in 2000 and later by Ferrari of Washington DC, driven by Charlie Arnot. More recently it was raced in one Challenge race at Mid Ohio. The current owner bought the car in January and drove it earlier this year at Cavallino. Prior to his purchase, the current owner had a leak down test performed by Lake Forest Sportscars. All the cylinders were between 4%-6%, confirming the health of the engine. Before going to Cavallino, Motion Products West performed a basic pre-race prep including a fluids change, nut and bolt, timing belt inspection, and replacement of a fatigued power steering pump bracket. The car is track ready, and the new owner should expect no more than the usual pre-event preparation. The car is in good condition for a racecar of its age. The usual rock chips and minor scratches are visible behind the front wheel and on the hood, but the front bumper has been freshly repainted. The interior is clean and orderly, and the OMP seats have only very minor discoloration. Both the frontal area and the engine bay are fully detailed. There is evidence of very minor bodywork repairs to the right headlight area. It is reported that at one time the right rear corner required repair, although there is no visible evidence of this. With the car come four spare used slicks. There is no other modern, advanced, Ferrari racing available for the money!
