Upon its introduction, the Aston Martin Vanquish was a particularly exciting car. The company’s new flagship, the car represented an exciting glimpse at the Aston Martin renaissance that began with the DB7. The Vanquish was the replacement for the supercharged V8 Vantage, an impressive if archaic car whose underpinnings dated back to DBS of the late 1960s. In contrast, the Vanquish was extremely contemporary. The styling bore obviously influence from the elegant and beautiful DB7, but more modernized and aggressive, first appearing on the Project Vantage Concept of 1998. The stunning concept was left aesthetically intact when the Vanquish went into production, characterized by a beautiful combination of aggressive, timeless, and elegant styling. The car features a sophisticated aluminum and composite chassis that is bonded together and clothed in aluminum body panels. A 450hp V12 backed by a 6-speed paddle shift transmission provides suitably exciting performance, which includes a top speed in the region of 190mph. The interior is beautifully executed, blending the traditional opulence of Aston Martin with contemporary touches.

This particular car is a no-stories low mileage 2+0 example that has been fastidiously maintained. Finished in a unique color combination of British Racing Green with Kestrel Tan interior, the car is fully up to date on service, including the completion of the 15k service at 13,500 miles, which included the fitment of new fuel pumps. There are invoices back to new, with the first service being performed at 1455 miles in 2004. The car is in excellent cosmetic condition. The paintwork is in very good shape, with a handful of small chips and scratches, and one superficial scrape on the right corner of the rear bumper. The wheels are in excellent condition other than a few minor scratches on the two right wheels. There is no significant curbing. The lights and glass are excellent other than an area of delamination at the top right corner of the front windscreen, which is not visible from inside the car.

The interior is beautifully finished and in excellent order. There is extensive leather upholstery, which is in excellent shape, with only minor wear to the seats. The leather dashboard is in excellent shape, as are the leather door trims, center console, and rear parcel shelf. The headliner and pillars are upholstered in suede and are in excellent condition. The switches, instruments and controls are in near new condition. A sophisticated Linn audio system was factory fitted to this car.

The engine compartment appears essentially as new and is clean and unmodified. A futuristic carbon fiber strut tower bar is an interesting feature and is original to the car. The trunk is unmodified and in as new condition. The car has its original manual, battery tender, and first aid kit. There is also a car cover present with the car.

It runs and drives very well, making absolutely fantastic exhaust noise. The car is powerful, sure-footed and easy to drive and use while still feeling special and unique. It is an effortless high speed tourer that is sure to satisfy any James Bond fantasies that its new owner may have (at least those related to Aston Martins), particularly since a Vanquish was used in the Bond film Die Another Day.
