Description

2005 Porsche GT3 VIN WP0AC29965S692222 Speed Yellow with Black Leather Interior When the facelifted 996 GT3 was introduced in the United States, enthusiasts rejoiced. For decades, American enthusiasts had been forced to watch as European magazines rave about `forbidden fruit` not officially available in the United States. Be it the Carrera RS 2.7, the 959, the 964 RS, or the early GT3, Americans had long felt that Porsche was denying them some of the best-driving Porsches ever. Finally we were able to enjoy a more driver-oriented car than the Turbo, which while rapid, was a bit too refined for many enthusiasts with its all wheel drive and numerous creature comforts. The GT3 was available in rear wheel drive only, and had a gutsy naturally aspirated engine with and 8200 RPM redline. This particular car is an enthusiast owned 5,700 mile and one California owner car from new. After an extensive search, this car was found at Brumos Porsche, and brought to Carlsen Porsche in Redwood City, from whom the owner purchased it. Options include leather interior, Bi-Xenon headlight package, wheel caps with colored crests, cruise control, Porsche crest in headrest, aluminum instrument dials, carbon trim on parking brake and shifter, thicker steering wheel, sports seats left and right side, and automatic climate control. A Porsche factory competition driver`s seat is installed with competition style belts and roll bar, as well as a fire extinguisher. A Passport SRX built in radar detector has been fitted, as well as a full clear bra, including the splash areas, fuel filler, and door edges. The original seat belts and driver`s sport seat come with the car, as do records from new, and the original window sticker. A minor service was carried out at 5,400 miles in October of 2007. Cosmetically, the car is as new. There are no chips or scratches to speak of, and the wheels are free from curb rash. This car is near perfect cosmetically, and will not disappoint the collector or perfection minded buyer. The interior is in similarly nice condition. There are a number of details that set this car apart, including the competition style seat, which is both more supportive and lighter than the standard electric seat. There are no rear seats, and the factory aluminum and carbon fiber shifter makes adds further to the special feel of the interior. The roll bar was tastefully installed along with the extinguisher. The engine compartment and trunk are totally stock and like new as well. This is a pampered well-optioned no-stories car ideal for the perfectionist looking to enjoy Porsche`s most sporting street 911. It has been tastefully modified, well-kept, and needs nothing other than a new owner.
