Ferrari’s latest front-engined V12 flagship, the 599 GTB Fiorano is a stunning high performance machine that continues Ferrari’s tradition of front-engined grand touring cars (most notably the 275GTB and 365GTB/4 Daytona). Replacing the 575 Maranello, the 599 incorporates the latest technology, including an improved version of the F1 transaxle, extruded aluminum chassis (making it 100kg lighter than the Maranello), active aerodynamics (160kg of downforce at 300kph), and front-mid mounted 6 liter V12 derived from the Enzo engine. With an output of 612hp, the car is capable of 206mph and 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds!

This particular car is nicely optioned car with the following options: Becker 6-disc CD changer, Bose stereo, battery charger prewiring, Daytona seats, leather upholstered headliner, leather upholstered parcel shelf, 20-inch Monolitic rims, rear parking sensors, electrochromatic rear view mirror, and carbon fiber/leather steering wheel with engine speed LED readout. The car has had three owners from new. The second owner bought the car at Ferrari of San Francisco in 2008, and traded it to its current owner on a 300SL Roadster via Fantasy Junction. The car comes with service documentation from Ferrari dealers showing that the 25k service was carried out at 7432 miles in February of 2009 to include oil change, brake fluids, cabin air filter, and ancillary belts. The car was serviced again at 8329 miles in November of 2009. A Valentine 1 radar system was also installed.

Naturally, the car is in excellent condition. The paintwork has been protected by a clear bra and is very nice throughout, with the only flaws being a few small chips in the area just ahead of the left rear wheel. The lower rockers, door edges, fuel filler, side mirrors, front lights, and the entire front end have been protected by the clear bra. The lights and glass are excellent, and the wheels are free of curbing. All four center caps were replaced on the wheels because the owner was not satisfied with their appearance, indicating the level of attentiveness with which the car was looked after.

The interior is also excellent, with almost no appreciable signs of wear. The carpets, leather, and dashboard are excellent, with only the lightest of wear on the driver’s seat bolster. There is ample carbon fiber, which is very striking, and covers the dashboard, instrument cluster, center console, and seats. The switches and controls are like new as well.

The engine compartment and trunk are also very clean and like new. The trunk contains the Becker 6-CD changer as well as the manual pack with manuals. The underside is reflective of the mileage and is mostly covered, in the interest of aerodynamics.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a well-optioned extremely clean example of the 599 in a lovely sophisticated color combination. When these cars first hit the ground, they were selling for $450,000, and thus this car represents considerable savings over new, which is particularly remarkable since the current 599 is virtually unchanged compared to this car. This car has been properly serviced and is in excellent condition throughout.
