General Overview

With more and more car companies moving to the SUV platform, few examples remain for hauling the family in style with the powerful balance of AMG performance and Mercedes-Benz luxury. Loaded with amazing suspension and power features, the E63 S Wagon AMG package is powered by a whopping 577hp engine with 590 lb-ft torque. All this power is delivered via 7-speed automatic transmission hauling down from 0-60 sub-4 second launches via carbon ceramic disc brakes with multi-piston calipers. As with all AMG products, the build quality is superb, with engineering taken to a whole new level of performance metrics far ahead of any wagon on the market. Suspension dynamics coupled with astonishing performance are furthermore enchanting as all this can be equally deployed for general transportation requirements, adding a dose of excitement to even the most mundane commute or trip to the grocery store.

History of This Car

This Special Order two-owner AMG E63 S wagon was delivered new in December 2014 to Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables, FL. Title was issued to the first owner in January 2015. A current Carfax reports regular service and a July 2016 damage report citing left side and rear damage when the car had logged approximately 2,000 miles. The airbags did not deploy. In June 2018 the car was sold to the second and current owner with 4,876 miles indicated at the time of title update. In August 2019 this E63 had approximately 20,000 miles logged when it was involved in a minor side swipe and professionally repaired. The airbags did not deploy. A copy of the invoice from Caliber Collision, Berkeley, CA itemizes the repairs performed on the car.

Under current care, general service, fluid changes, and various maintenance have been consistent and regular including the following items of recent note:

September 2021 – 37,866 miles oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, differential service/flush.

July 2021 – 35,989 miles two rear tires (Continental)

March 2021 – 32,985 miles two front tires (Pirelli)

November 2020 – 26,133 miles new battery installed, oil and filter change

April 2019 – 15,763 AC service for wiring connector, oil and filter change

General Condition

Today this amazing performance wagon presents beautifully in vivid Diamond White Metallic paint delivering an elegant, lustrous finish. The finish is in generally good condition with typical minor flaws found on the surfaces. All glass, clear front and rear lenses, and exterior body trim are in excellent cosmetic condition including the AMG quad exhaust tips flanking the rear bumper air diffuser. The body is free from major blemishes with a few scuffs on the underside edge of the front air dam and typical evidence of road use at the lower portion of the front fascia. All openings function as new, with excellent closure, proper gapping, and crisp fit to front and rear bumper caps. There are no chips or notable scratches in the windshield, rear, or side glass. The wheels and tires are in excellent condition as well with no curb rash and consistent finish to the exclusive AMG wheel surfaces. Gold anodized brake calipers are mounted over ceramic discs at all four corners. Both the front and rear tires have been replaced this year.

Inside the car, the supple, factory fresh “Designo” two tone black and sand leather interior exhibits near new finishes throughout showing only minor relaxing to the seat bottom of the driver’s seat cushion. All interior components have been beautifully maintained including smooth and supple leather trimmed seats, excellent stitching, sculpted dash, inlaid wood trim, concealed side glass screens, and a large retractable moon roof. The seats offer multiple power settings and memory with fantastic bolstering that is both supportive for sport driving and comfortable for long range cruising. The Bang & Olufsen audio system is magnificent both in design and sound output. Every aspect of the interior is both beautifully finished and exceptionally well-cared for. The rear storage area continues with exemplary presentation offering the factory spare tire, first aid kit, tire changing tools all nestled beneath the carpeted stowage floor panel. A pair of WeatherTech front floor mats have been in use, protecting the carpet from excess dirt or wear.

Under the hood, the powerful hand-crafted 5.5 Liter DOHC Bi-turbo 32 valve V8 offers incredible AMG performance. The engine has been meticulously maintained both mechanically and cosmetically, showing proper care and detailing to support the low original miles. Every factory component, trim piece, and manufacturer’s engine compartment sticker remain in place in excellent cosmetic condition. The undercarriage of the car further supports the documented low miles showing no significant road marks on the factory aerodynamic chassis pans. Suspension and various exposed components revealed in the underside are also in excellent condition, displaying a clean and fresh appearance.

Driving the AMG E63 S is a performance experience like no other. Power is progressive and rapidly summoned with shotgun-like precision and amazing handling. Remarkably, the ease of use while idling in daily traffic beguiles the power on tap. Yet the AMG is docile and elegant offering refreshing AC, easy to use controls, a symphonic sound system, and the added convenience of wagon storage.
