Mechanical rebuild included: new bearing bronze shells lined with diesel type babbit (main and rods), new pistons plus rings, crankshaft magnafluxed - 4 hair line longitudinal cracks on mains, welded by submerged arc process (no distortion) and ground and polished to 1.851 inches, rods finished to 1.626 inches, new valves plus valve adjusting discs, new valve guides, valve seat inserts of stelite material - allowing usage of modern fuels, engine balanced with clutch and flywheel, pressure tested - head, block, radiator and petrol tank, new propellor shaft coupling, new half shaft, wheels rebuilt - trued and balanced, new brake linings, new king pins, proper aluminum floor boards, new door rubber fabricated using original Zagato rubber as a pattern, interior seats - door panels - top replaced using originals as a pattern.
