Dark Metallic Blue with Cream Leather

Comprehensively restored in beautiful metallic blue with full cream leather interior. Purchased nine years ago disassembled in a restoration shop in Oregon where the car had been awaiting restoration for twelve years. Noted 356 restorer Bill King purchased the car and returned with it to California completing the restoration in 2005. Since then the car has covered 5,000 miles, and placed first in approximately six shows. The restoration of the body included front pans, and a replacement nose shell, complete strip and paint and panel fit to the highest possible standards. All chrome was redone, as well as a new tan canvas top, body rubber, full interior in cream leather, and all gauges rebuilt. Mechanical work included a rebuilt 741 transmission (currently installed), a fully rebuilt 912 motor (currently installed), new muffler, clutch, brakes, and suspension components. The car also comes with what is believed to be the original motor with good compression (no. 604382) complete with Zenith carburetors, exhaust, and flywheel, and the original transmission (no. 38428), fully rebuilt with receipts. The car comes with the top boot, full cockpit toneau, tool kit, jack, original manual with the roadster supplement, receipts for the restoration, and the Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. The car is equipped with Carrello driving lamps, mesh covers over the headlamps and driving lamps, optional clock, chrome wheels and headrests. The 912 engine offers substantially more horsepower and a wider torque band than even a Super 90. It would be extremely difficult to find a better roadster anywhere.
