1966 Alfa Romeo Quattroruote s/n AR*393068 Cream and Black with black leather interior Built as a more modern reference to the prewar Zagato bodied 6C 1750, the Quattroruote was also bodied by Zagato. Built on the Giulia chassis, just 90 were constructed, all in 1966 and 1967. Like a Giulia, they employ a solid rear axle, independent front suspension, and drum brakes. It is powered by the well-tested 4 cylinder, dual overhead cam Alfa power plant. This particular car has had a full engine rebuild with various enhancements several years ago and remains in excellent mechanical condition. One on the previous owners, the late Robert Shrader, rebuilt the motor and fitted it with a tidy twin Weber installation as well as Borrani wire wheels. Schrader also did some minor cosmetic work. The car looks to be practically new. The tasteful period paint scheme is free of any major rock chips or scratches, even on the forward facing edges where rock chips are common. All the exterior chrome is clean and free of scratches or pitting. The leather door skins and seats look to be original but show no signs of wear or age. The carpets, dash wood and Veglia gauges are also very nice. Eligible for any and all the events that a Gulia would be, and with the classic lines of the sought after 6C 1750, this car represents excellent motoring value.
