1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 \"Daytona\" s/n 15173 Fly Yellow with Black Leather Built in February of 1972 for the US Market, this car was equipped with air conditioning, power windows, and Borrani wire wheels from the factory. Currently the car shows 45,033 miles, which is believed to be correct. This car is thought to have been sold new California and is believed to be with its third owner. All three known owners have kept the car in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. In 1989, after a no expense spared restoration here California, this car was acquired by Tom Price and kept as part of the famed Price Collection until 2005 when Fantasy Junction sold it to the current owner. While in the Price Collection, the car was meticulously maintained by Sal at Waterfront Automobilia in San Francisco. While with the current owner, Henk Boverhuis proprietor of Britalia Ltd. in Berkeley, California, has carefully looked after it. The car has traveled very few miles since the restoration was completed, and it has just seen a professional and comprehensive detail to show condition. It is both cosmetically and mechanically stunning. The subject of an extremely high quality repaint, the paintwork on this example has a mirror-finish look with straight, sharp lines and excellent gaps. All the jams and gutters are straight and fully detailed. The exterior chrome and stainless trim is all very good to excellent with no pitting or deterioration. The window glass, including the windshield, and all related gasketing, is excellent. The car sits on very desirable and masculine 7`` and 9`` front and rear Borrani wire wheels with near-new Michelin XWX tires. There is one small chip at the trailing edge of the driver`s door, a few chips on the inside of the hood near the wipers, and very minor spider cracking in the paint on the nose which is so typical of Daytonas. These minor flaws do not detract from the visual presentation. The car is stunning. The interior has also been restored and is finished in very high quality, soft, black leather with matching black carpets. The interior is stock and complete with correct mouse, factory steering wheel, and original Becker AM/FM stereo. The seats, door panels, console, headliner, and rear shelf are all excellent. The wing window latches are in place, another common weakness on Daytonas. Mechanically, this is an extreme sound example. All the gauges are fully operational. The engine makes excellent oil pressure, plenty of power, and all the right sounds. Second gear synchro is good both when warm and cold. The brakes are effective and stop the car evenly. The A/C blows, but not very cold. All the equipment for the A/C system is in place. The engine bay and underside have just been professionally detailed and are beautiful. The engine bay is complete, including the windshield washer bag, and correct hydraulic hood supports. The hood pad has been replaced and is in excellent condition. The Dinoplexes have been updated to more reliable Magneti Marelli electronic ignition boxes. There is no evidence of any accident or rust repair to the underside. The trunk has also been restored and finished with correct black carpeting. With the car comes the beautifully polished Borrani spare wheel with Michelin XWX tires, a second Borrani spare wheel with broken spokes, the original owners manual, jack, jack bag, lug wrench, and emergency triangle.
