1977 SCHKEE DB-1

The SCHKEE DB-1 was an advanced and unique design, a collaboration beween Doug Schulz and Bob McKee. Bob McKee built several successful cars that ran in the USRRC (United States Road Racing Championship) which preceded the CanAm. Doug Schulz was an SCCA driver and was involved in working with SCCA to define the CanAm series itself.

The car set very competitive times at tracks such as Laguna Seca, Road America and Mosport, and was the outright winner in the hands of Tom Klausler at St. Jovite in 1977.

This is a unique opportunity to acquire a trend setting and historic CanAm racer, and the designer and original team owner is available to restore the car and even accompany the new owner to the track to run and promote the car. Currently the car is in solid unretired condition, and the restoration would be straightforward.
