Description

The 1965 356C was the ultimate iteration of Porsche's first production model. Introduced in 1963, the 356C was more refined than the 356B which preceded it. In addition to featuring the updated T-6 body (which included a larger trunk opening, larger rear window, and twin rear grilles) that had been introduced in 1961, the 356C also featured Porsche's first street application of disc brakes. This particular example has been repainted in a striking dark purple and has excellent panel gaps. It also has a fire extinguisher, Simpson racing seatbelts, and painted crests on the hubcaps. Its documentation since 1987 is extremely thorough, which includes an engine rebuild 25,000 miles ago and carburetor updates. This conscientious maintenance is reflected by the excellent manner in which this car drives and performs.
